AP E-News
Good morning and greetings from Minnesota!
Yes…I am in frigid Minnesota while I write this and am glad to see the south is enjoying an early spring. Today I am attending the Governing Board meeting of Martin Luther College, our college of ministry that prepares future pastors, teachers, and staff ministers. We are blessed to have a college like this that offers a quality education and trains people to proclaim the saving name of Jesus and lead young and old to the peace and hope that God gives in his gift of forgiveness and eternal life in Christ.
Our Scripture readings last week and this week remind us of the importance of proclaiming that gospel message to all people, and that he calls us all to do this work and some to do it full time.

Prayer Notes:
- Let’s include a prayer for all the students in our Ministerial Education schools that are studying to be pastors and teachers. Ask the Lord to bless the efforts of the students and professors. And may he move and inspire more people to be interested in and willing to train for full time public ministry, for what Jesus said many years ago is still true today – “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”
- Let’s also use this opportunity to pray for all current pastors and teachers. Ask the Lord to give them wisdom and dedication to their work and that he blesses them with joy and contentment in their service in his kingdom.
- We include Dan Granberg in our prayers as he considers the Call he received to teach 4th grade in Palm Coast, FL. God grant him peace and clarity as he considers where to serve the Lord in his kingdom.
- We also pray for the sister-in-law of Peggy Cwiakala who is dealing with several personal issues that are causing anxiety and a feeling of "lostness." We ask that the Lord would draw her to him for peace and hope, and we ask that he give comfort and strength to Peggy as she offers her support.
Other Notes:
- Sunday at AP Easley there will be an opportunity for a door offering to support a new program in our circuit that will provide some financial assistance to any student from our circuit congregations that attend one of our preparatory high schools (Luther Prep or Michigan Lutheran Seminary) and consider serving as pastors or teachers. If you missed it at AP Five Forks last week, please feel free to make a donation this Sunday.
- Jeff Skory has begun taking new pictures of members to update the directory.
- Memorial cards and envelopes are available on the information table for anyone who would like to make a donation in honor of Beryl Wynn.
- Mommy and Me will meet on February 13 (9:10 - 10:30 a.m.).
- Member 2024 offering statements are in mailboxes or being mailed. Some use this information for tax purposes. If you see a discrepancy with your records, please speak with Doug Rall.
